FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol and is one of the 113 known compounds called cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It is also known as simply hemp. BRelaxxed CBD products do NOT contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. CBD is known to have many beneficial properties and is commonly used to promote overall wellness.
HOW IS CBD DIFFERENT FROM CANNABIS?
Cannabis — also known as marijuana, weed, pot, has and others — comes from the cannabis plant, cannabis sativa. Cannabidiol,or CBD, is one of the chemical compounds found in the cannabis sativaplant that does not result in a ‘high’ typical of THC.
WHAT ARE CANNABINOIDS?
Cannabinoids are active compounds produced by all cannabis plants. They account for most of the benefits of cannabis. Cannabinoids found in plants are technically called phytocannabinoids, while cannabinoids produced by the human body are called endocannabinoids. Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), which promotes homeostasis.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA?
Hemp and marijauna are two different names for cannabis, a type of flowering plant in the Cannabaceae family. While science says these the same plant. Under the law, they are not. The key difference is THC content. Hemp contains 0.3 percent or less THC content by dry weight. BRelaxxed CBD products contain no traceable amounts of THC.
WHAT ARE TERPENES?
Terpenes are fragrant oils found in many types of plants, including cannabis plants, pine and lavender, that give CBD its distinct flavor profile. In nature, these terpenes protect the plants from animal grazing or infectious germs.
HOW DOES CBD WORK?
CBD’s effects are a result of its interaction with the endocannabinoid system. CBD impacts the ECS indirectly, most often through activation of outside receptors and interaction with enzymes.
WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF CBD?
When consumed through vaping or inhalation, digesting or applying topically, CBD interacts with the neuroreceptors in your endocannabinoid system (ECS), which sends signals between your cells to help regulate and control many important bodily functions. The ECS regulates and controls pain, sleep, memory, emotional processing, inflammatory and immune responses, and eating.*
DOES THE VAPE CART YOU BOUGHT CONTAIN THC?
No. All BRELAXXED products show no detectable THC on their lab reports. We use patented technology to remove any residual THC found in our hemp extract.
HOW DOES CBD MAKE YOU FEEL? WILL I GET HIGH?
So you’re trying BRelaxxed CBD vapes for the first time? You will feel a subtle effect of calm and relaxation. But, don’t worry. Unlike marijuana and THC, CBD is non-psychotropic and is extremely unlikely to cause a high. CBD is known for its calming effect.
ARE THERE ANY NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS?
CBD is not known to have any negative side effects. However, large servings of CBD may cause drowsiness. If your intention is to remain alert, this may be considered an unwanted side effect and therefore large servings should be avoided.
IS CBD LEGAL IN MY STATE?
Thanks to the Farm Bill, which allows the cultivation of hemp on U.S. soil, CBD products are readily obtainable in most parts of the country, although its exact legal status is in flux. All 50 states have laws legalizing CBD with varying degrees of restriction. While the federal government still considers CBD in the same class as marijuana, it doesn’t habitually enforce against it. In December 2015, the FDA eased the regulatory requirements to allow researchers to conduct CBD trials. Currently, many people obtain CBD online without a medical cannabis license. The government’s position on CBD is confusing, and it depends in part on whether the CBD comes from hemp or marijuana. The legality of CBD is expected to change, as there is currently bipartisan consensus in Congress to make the hemp crop legal which would, for all intents and purposes, make CBD difficult to prohibit.
DO I NEED A MEDICAL CARD TO BUY CBD?
No. CBD does NOT require a medical card to purchase, unlike cannabis or marijuana.
